This policy explains when Markj Research and Analytics Solutions Private Limited ("Keel", "we", "us") refunds a fee you have paid, how to cancel a paid plan, and how long a refund takes to reach you. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and the definitions there apply here.
You can cancel at any time, yourself, from your billing settings in Keel — you do not need to email us or ask permission.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your workspace then moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted when you cancel: your companies, filings, documents and history remain, subject to the Free plan's limits.
Subscription fees already paid are not refundable, with three exceptions:
If we withdraw the Service entirely, we give at least 60 days' notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
Fees for a specific piece of work — a filing prepared for you, a concierge request, a document generated to order — are agreed for that request. They are refundable only if we have not started the work. Once we have begun, the fee is not refundable, because the cost is the work itself.
If we cannot complete work you have paid for, we refund it in full. If we complete it late and that lateness costs you something, tell us: we would rather put it right than argue about it.
AI credit top-ups are consumed as you use AI features. Unused credit is refundable within 7 days of purchase if none of it has been spent. Once any part of a top-up has been used, the remainder is not refundable, and credit does not expire while your account is open.
Where a chartered accountant or other independent professional does work on your request, Keel engages that professional and pays them for that work. They do not invoice you and you do not pay them, so there is no fee of theirs for us to refund. We do not collect any part of it from you.
Any disagreement about what that professional charges is between Keel and the professional. It does not change what you owe Keel or what you have already paid.
Keel's own fees for the same engagement — your subscription, and any Keel service fee — are covered by sections 2 and 3 above.
Email [email protected] from the address on your Keel account, and tell us which payment you mean and why. You do not need a form or a reference number — the invoice number helps, but we can find the payment without it.
We respond within 3 working days. If we agree a refund, we send it to the original payment method within 7 working days of agreeing it. Your bank or card issuer then takes its own time — usually 5 to 10 working days for a card, sooner for UPI — and that part is outside our control.
If we decline, we tell you why, in writing, pointing at the clause we are relying on. If you think we are wrong, say so and a person will look at it again.
Please talk to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the amount for weeks and we cannot resolve anything while it is open, whereas an email usually settles it in days. Nothing here affects your legal right to raise one.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in Keel at least 15 days before the change takes effect, and we will update the date at the top of this page. The version in force when you paid is the one that applies to that payment.
